Although our trip to China was great and Tori adjusted to all the changes amazingly well, it was nice to return home and get her back to a more normal schedule. The trip, however, did help us (especially mommy) become a little more flexible with her schedule :) Even with less sleep, and sporadic eating, Tori actually grew a ton during the China trip. She did love the food :) I think I am going to have to learn how to cook Chineese food.
During this month, she has added lots of words and a few phrases to her verbal repertoire. My favorites are "I get down," "up please," "go downstairs," and "Donald Duck" (her favorite stacking toy luckily saved from my childhood). She also has started saying all sorts of sounds with such entonation that when listening from a distance sounds just like talking. My favorite is "Doyt, doyt, doyt doyt." Besides going outside, one of her favorite activities is tickling. We have about a 5 minute video taken in China of her running from one person to the next tickling them (each person of course giving her a silly laugh).
This month she also said those 3 magic words that totally melted my heart. I was rocking her after she had just woken up from a nap. Suddenly she stopped cuddling, pushed herself up, looked at me and said "I yuv ooo!" I was pretty sure of what she had said, but I asked her to make sure and she gave me a big smile like "you got it" and then gave me a big hug and cuddled some more. She has been saying it a lot more now, but I hope I always remember her first time saying it as vividly as I can right now:)
Enjoy pictures from her 19th Month :)
