4 Month Metamorphosis

I have started this post over a dozen times getting no farther than logging in, looking through the 3rd-4th month pictures, and thinking about where to start before the little one awakens (Right on cue...SHE JUST WOKE UP). Anyways, the 3rd and 4th months have kept us very busy with each week bringing new and exciting changes with Tori. As Matt puts it, she is a "little person" now :)


Matt and I in Cancun, while Gram and Grandpa stayed at our house with Tori. There were many bets as to whether I would actually make it :)

This has been such a fun age. Tori is sitting up on her own, rolling over both ways, and playing more independently with her toys. She is still smiling, laughing, and babbling constantly.

Jiu Jiu Kyle's Visit

Although Skype helped Uncle Kyle get to see Victoria right after she was born and periodically throughout the first few months, he finally got to see her in person. She definitely liked her Jiu Jiu Kyle :)

2-3 Months

There were a lot of firsts from 2 months to 3 months. Tori had her first dinner out at one of our favorite Mexican spots. She went on her 1st vacation to see her Grandparents and Auntie Leah at the beach. While she was there, she went to her fist church service (slept soundly through the whole thing), dipped her toes in the ocean, wiggled her toes in the sand, and the took her first dip in the pool. She also got to meet her Uncle Kyle and spend 2 weekends with him.

We had an interesting Father's Day. Our power went out and was supposed to come back on in about 15 minutes...2 hours later we finally decide to go in the air conditioned car to get some ice cream. Daddy got a Father's Day book which he read to Tori, but in the chaos I forgot to get a picture so I made him pose the next day. I forgot to mention that in the middle of the 2 hours of no power, our carbon monoxide detector starts to go off. We figure that it is the batteries, but we had recently changed the batteries out so I was a little concerned. While Matt runs to the grocery store to get more batteries, I call the fire department just to check and make sure that there is nothing we need to do. They tell us we need to get out of the house and they are on their way to check it out. With 2 large firetrucks, we caused quite the scene in the neighborhood. It was the batteries :)
