3 weeks

Today Victoria is 3 weeks old :) Time is already flying by. This week we went to our 2nd doctor visit and everything went well. She is now 6 pounds 9 ounces and I can let her sleep for 4 hours at night...amazing how much that extra 2 hours makes! We also went to the hearing specialist and she passed both test :) Phew! She is a healthy, happy, and sweet little girl. We are so blessed. I have the best job ever!

3 weeks old today

First Two Weeks Home

The first two weeks have gone by so fast. Victoria is such a sweet baby (almost all of the time) and I find myself spending hours just staring at her adorable smiles and funny faces. Even though she is so small, she is really strong and has excellent head control so she does not seem so fragile. We are so blessed! Here are some pictures from the first two weeks.

We are finally home from the hospital!

Soco with Victoria's hat from the hospital. He has been such a great big brother :) We are amazed at how he instinctively knows to be gentle with her. He goes wherever she goes and does not like to let her out of his sight.

In just a week, she has outgrown her preemie outfits and is starting to fill out newborn sized clothes.

Victoria Brooke Miller--April 22, 2010

I cannot believe that it has taken me so long to update this site. I thought I would definitely be able to update it at the hospital :) It is amazing how fast the days go by now and how little I accomplish besides feeding and staring at my little girl :) I couldn't be happier though!

A Short Update:

Matt and I went to dinner with his parents and then to the hospital April 21st for a scheduled induction. Since Victoria was weighing small in the ultra sound measurements, the doctors thought it would be best to take her out a week early (39 weeks) just to be on the safe side. Everything went smoothly and April 22nd at 2:29 Victoria Brooke arrived :) She was 5 pounds 10 ounces and 18 inches. I think we were all suprised by how pretty she was (based on Matt and my newborn pictures, we did not have high expectations).

38 Weeks

Baby Shower at TCP

I had a lovely shower hosted by Dad's work. This cake is made of diapers decorated with pacifiers, rattles, a tiara, ect. I am definitely stealing that idea for future baby showers I go to or host :)

The 9th Month is Finally Here :)

I cannot believe that it is the 37th week already. I went to the doctor today (April 7) and he thinks that she has moved into the birth canal. I will do my last ultra sound next week :) She may be an April baby after all. Although I am very ready for her to come on out, I still have 2 more baby showers and one more week of school... so hopefully she will hold out 2 more weeks. For as close as I am to due date, I am still feeling great. I will post a 9th month belly shot very soon.

We did put some final touches on the nursery. It is just about done! The crib skirt and a spath lily will be a few last additions to come.

Easter (36 weeks)

We had a great Easter in Hickory with yummy food and our annual easter egg hunt. Matt was the big winner this year, but I still beat him in finding my easter basket first!

All the beautiful spring flowers made finding the eggs more challenging. There are 2 eggs still missing, but we did find a bonus egg from last year :)
